Paul was an apostle and a senior. He should have asked Philemon to treat the fleeing slave with kindness, yet he hoped that Philemon did it out of his spontaneity. Paul said, "…although in Christ I could be bold and order you to do what you ought to do, yet I appeal to you on the basis of love"(Phm 8-9). He set a good example in dealing with the argument between Christians.

After Onesimus became a Christian, his relationship with Philemon changed. They were not a master and a slave but brothers. Thus, they were equal in the Lord. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus"(Ga 3:28). How we treat brothers and sisters reflects what attitude we hold toward the Lord.

讀腓利門書最大的感受是保羅與收到他信的主內同伴之間的連結，在主裡不因保羅入監而斷絕，保羅仍然能對他們有教導、有影響力。

保羅稱阿尼西母為「在捆鎖中所生的兒子」，希望腓利門不計過往地接納他，保羅很強調信仰在生活中的實踐。

腓利門書很短，但彷彿看到戴著鎖鏈的保羅......人雖被囚，但心卻是自由。

Dear All, Peng An,

Moses is a great man, but still a man. He cannot control his emotion to follow God's will that caused him cannot enter the promised land. Three things I learnt from this event, one is "no one is perfect", another is "EQ is very important" and the last one is "God's will is absolute".

Moses didn't speak to the rock for water but struck the rock twice with his staff. As a leader, he was not a faithful follower of the Lord and did not honor Him as holy in the sight of the Israelites.

That's why God punished him so hard that he was forbidden to cross the Jordan. The Lord cares a lot about whether we trust in Him enough so we should look into our heart all the time.

「那時，我懇求耶和華說：『...求你容我過去，看約旦河那邊的美地...』但耶和華因你們的緣故向我發怒，不應允我，對我說：『罷了！你不要向我再題這事。』」3:23-26

此時摩西說的輕描淡寫，其實應該是很"搥心肝"的吧！神對祂越是看重的僕人，越嚴格。如果我們覺得神管我們很嚴，應該感謝領受，但要像摩西這樣毫不"心懷不平"地順服神，真的很不容易哩！

Dear All, Peng An,

"Let your hearts be broken, and not your clothing, and come back to the Lord your God: for he is full of grace and pity, slow to be angry and great in mercy, ready to be turned from his purpose of punishment."

I think "that day" is the day to decide one man to belong love or without love. If the man cannot break his heart and back to love, that day will be dark with lots of army covering the mountains. If the man can return to Lord with love, the promise from Lord is full of grace and pity. May Lord keep my will to follow You without any doubt.
