時時刻刻與神同行，忍耐等候是必然要經過的階段。以色列人大軍出埃及之後，也是剉列等，埃及軍隊隨時可能追殺，所以前50天是終日人心惶惶的時刻。耶穌被釘十字架，也是象徵正式與猶太教統治階級、羅馬政權決裂，另一種出埃及。出舊猶太教入基督教。在這關鍵時刻，耶穌要門徒留在最危險的地方--耶路撒冷，忍耐等候50（或7x7=49）天。付代價是有收獲的--聖靈的澆灌。
忍耐等候時，禱告、默想神的話語是必要的。
求神幫助我學習忍耐等候！

Jesus charged the apostles not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father since they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit before many days. Holy Spirit gives people courage, confidence, capability, and authority, which are required to undertake a task assigned by the Lord. Yet everything is to happen under the sovereignty of the Lord. Gospel wouldn't be accepted widely without His intervention. That's why patience counts in being a loyal apostle.
