"For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God"(1Co 11:12). This verse originates the practice of men's covering the head when in worshiping to the sovereignty of the Lord. The dispute about the status of men and women is often aroused regarding Bible study. We do need to explore further so that we won't misinterpret the Lord's intention in bringing His people together instead of separating them.

"I mean his conscience, not yours -- do not eat it. For why should my liberty be determined by another man's scruples?"(1Co 10:29) This verse tells us that never judge others on the ground of so-called "scruple" or "conscience." As long as one does all to the glory of God, God is pleased.
If we can partake with thankfulness and not seek our own advantage, we can enjoy everything on the earth because the earth is the Lord's. Following this principle, we will not give offense to the Gentiles.

基督徒飲食的原則(林前10: 23~33節)：
1) 凡事所行的，乃求他人的益處，為造就他人；不求自己的益處(23~24節)。
2) 凡市上所賣的，筵席中所擺上的，因為這些都屬乎主的，因此，都可吃(25~27節)
3) 但為他人的良心的緣故，不吃獻過祭的物」(28~30節)。
4) 我們或吃或喝，都要為榮耀神和造就人而行。(31~33節)
求主幫助我們知道：吃祭偶像之物會傷到軟弱人的良心(28~29節)；因此，我們該持守以下

1) 不吃的原則：
a. 不可在廟中吃――因明知那是祭過偶像之物(19~22節)
b. 不可在人告訴那是祭過的物之後再吃(28~29節)
2) 吃的原則：

保羅放棄享用他作使徒的權柄的原因:
1) 保羅不願叫他所誇的落空, 他認為不傳福音他就有禍了，不想用盡傳福音的權柄（9:15-18）; 他所誇的，就是他未曾接受哥林多人的供應這件事。他不願有什麼把柄，叫人可以詆毀他在哥林多信徒中所保持的見證。他情願餓死，不願他向來所保持的見證被人譏諷、毀壞。
2) 保羅為要多得人歸主（9:19-22）;
3) 凡保羅所行的都是為福音的緣故（9:23-27）
感謝神！從本段經文裡，看到使徒保羅的服事態度和原則。求主幫助我們，在服事崗位上，要高舉基督，廣傳福音。不論事工是大是小，我們所作的，不是高舉自己，乃是為福音的緣故，為要多得人歸主，讓神的名得榮耀。 若因此，為主的緣故，萬一受人譏諷、毀壞，不要氣餒，不要自卑，學習像保羅一樣，情願餓死，也不願落人口實/把柄，而讓神的名受虧損。

如何向怎樣的人，就作怎樣人。我該怎麼作?我能為了多救些人，作那些我本不願意作的人嗎?主日時，牧師提到保羅為歌羅西教會禱告，「力上加力……歡歡喜喜的忍耐寬容，」這個忍耐寬容是需要力上加力的。是的，我也需要力上加力，才能向怎樣的人，作怎樣的人，親愛的主，請幫助我，為要多救些人，願我能當牛、馬，願意自己帶上軛、自己帶上轡，讓主勒著我走。

Freedom and discipline can coexist in spreading the gospel. Paul said he enjoyed the greatest freedom but couldn't be refrained from the Lord's sovereignty. For the sake of gospel, sometimes good stuff, concrete or abstract, should be forsaken so as to win as many people as possible.
Paul reminded himself not to run the race for the prize; instead, each of us should pursue the crown that will last forever. During the strenuous process, keep humble so as not to make full use of our rights as a preacher of the gospel or be disqualified for the prize.
