"Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned" (So 8:7). True love will not fade away with time; instead, it stands the test of time. It cannot be obtained or weighed by wealth, either.

"Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave…" (8:6). A couple cherish every moment when they can be with each other, yet jealousy might undermine the foundation of love. Devote ourselves with gratitude and sincerity. After all, the other half is the gift from God.
