God promised restoration of Israel:
"I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess." (Jer30:3)
He also promised to save Jacob from dismay:
"It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it." (Jer 30:7)
Most important of all, He is a healer:

屬世的城市裡,仇敵有時候會隱藏在我們意想不到的人事物上,有太多人想要從大衛身上得到好處,更是有很多人得不到好處想要殺掉大衛以取代其地位,大衛很難找到一個忠心的朋友.
然而曠野卻是讓大衛可安息之地,那是上帝帶領著以色列人出埃及的曠野,在曠野中,神開道路,那裡有神的恩典,有神的教導,最重要的是祂讓我們在曠野中學習全心全意的來倚靠祂,在那裡只有神與自己.....多麼幸福啊.....

城市對大衛而言有強暴爭競，有罪孽和奸惡，邪惡在其中，欺壓和詭詐不離街市，知己的朋友也辱罵他。然而在曠野裡卻可得到安歇，脫離狂
風暴雨。
我想曠野應該是一個遠離塵囂可以親近 神的地方，耶穌也曾多次到曠野禱告，在天還沒亮的時候，在眾人推擠尋求醫治的時候，在決定十二使徒之前，到了曠野去沈澱自己的思緒，讓自己能清楚的聽到 神微小的聲音。
親愛的主，請您憐憫我，讓我在城市的生活裡也能找到自己的曠野，安靜的禱告，與您親近，讓我能得到平安也能明白您的旨意。

曠野則是個開闊之地,雖然荒涼但有主的同在,可以盡情向神大聲呼喊,沙漠也成了天堂.
無怪乎常要有retreat,退離平日的生活場景與步調,在神面前靜默或大叫,都有助於身心靈的恢復.

However, it's God that could turn the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs;… (Ps 107:35) There are reasons why David wasn't afraid.
God was merciful to him. (Ps 56:1)
God is trustworthy. (Ps 56: 3-4; 10-11)
In God, whose words he praised. (Ps 56:4)
God can be turned to for help. (Ps 56:7-9)
Offering can be presented to God. (Ps 56:12)
He might walk before God in the light of life. (Ps 56:13)
Who doesn't want such shelter from God?

約押應該很聰明，他曾透過一個婦人用一個寡婦的故事讓大衛饒恕了押沙龍；約押應該是效忠大衛的親信，他曾受命讓烏利亞在戰場上身亡以便大衛奪取他的妻子拔示巴；但是在今天的經文約押卻不顧大衛的命令，冷酷的殺了大衛的兒子押沙龍，在這裡有可能是他覺得大衛是個感情用事的人，不殺了押沙龍只會造成將來潛藏的危險，當然也有可能是他自己不喜歡押沙龍便把他殺了。總之，這個人有點像『沈默羔羊』裡面有殺人嗜好的精神病理學家--漢尼巴爾﹒勒克泰博士，很難猜透他真正的想法。
親愛的主，請您讓我能成為一個言行一致的人，做人處事能遵守您的教導，不會因為一些試探而反覆無常，讓我能做您喜悅的事，而不是做我自己喜悅的事。

There are many stories about betrayal in Bible, one of which was Joab's conspiracy to Absalom's death. When Absalom attempted to overthrow David as king, it was Joab who was instrumental in defeating the coup, and it was Joab who personally killed Absalom, another of his royal cousins:
Joab said, "I will not waste time like this with you." And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them into the heart of Absalom, while he was still alive in the oak. (2 Sa 18:14)
He did this not out of righteousness but out of selfish motives. His complete disregard of David's command showed the hypocritical side of him. David should have taken more precautions against Joab.

約押是個有謀略的勇士,隨侍在王的身邊又不能不提防的政客.
違背大衛命令及心意地殺害押沙龍,拒絕亞希瑪斯想用比較溫和方式告知大衛的提議,約押不會不知道那古示人所帶去的口信對大衛所造成的刺激...咦?會不會約押根本就想讓大衛心臟病發作,他好篡位??
如果我是王,我會留約押在身邊嗎?還是如劉邦'趙匡胤那般,把所有身邊"能將"都殺光?又,我日常生活中有無這種"高風險"的習慣?約押好比利器,好用卻危險.

我一直想,在馬利亞與耶穌相處的那麼多年間,這是第一次馬利亞對耶穌提出這樣的說法(或要求)嗎?他們的家庭中應該遇到過更大的難處,應該有比喜宴缺酒更加嚴重的事(如約瑟去世etc)呀?!
會不會是耶穌去受洗前已經告訴馬利亞--他不再是那個木匠,要開始做"不一樣"的事?
會不會是馬利亞參加耶穌的受洗之後,得到啟示,所以才放膽要求耶穌?

When Jesus' mom found wine was running short, she said to Jesus immediately, "They have no more wine." (Joh2:3) She probably did not intend to ask for a "sign" and was merely truly obedient to the son of God. That's why she requested the servants to do whatever Jesus told them.
Mary's act could set an example for us. Whenever we ask Jesus for help, we may have our own idea. What if Jesus has His plan for us? We should follow compliant Mary, so that things can turn out for the better.

耶穌受洗後第三天在加利利的迦拿與門徒參加了婚宴，當婚宴舉行到一半時，主人的酒喝完了，耶穌便將水變成了酒，解除了婚宴主人的窘境。我想主耶穌很重視婚姻，在婚姻出現了窘境或是危機時，懇求禱告給耶穌，祂會將平淡無奇的水變成了酒，豐富了我們婚姻的生活。
感謝主賜給我的婚姻就如甘甜無比的酒，尤其是有了 Stephanie 這個小天使後，更讓這酒更變得滴滴香醇。但是我也有親友的婚姻並不幸福，甚至像是難以入口的苦酒，但願主的慈愛與大能仍能觸摸到他們，顯現出您奇妙的神蹟，能解除他們的重擔，也能讓他們重新嚐到幸福甜美的婚姻。

After walking through the red sea where water was a threat to life, the Israelite went into the desert where water was a necessity to life. Water could kill and maintain life. Bitterness was another problem at Marah. Bitterness was hard to swallow. We would need our Lord to transform our bitterness into sweetness with a tree. The tree might symbolize the tree on which our Lord was hanged. The tree of forgiveness. After that, we might be able to camp at the springs of Elim.

The stories of Noah and Lot were about God's judgment against human's evil. God sent his servants to warn the people about the imminent judgment, yet all the warnings seemed to encounter a closed ear and a dead heart. Would that be the same in the final judgment? Hopefully many people would open their ears and soften their hearts to respond to God's warning messages.

Yeah, God had done his part, sending cloud and fire, and issuing instruction to Moses. Now Moses had to do his part, raising the rod in has hand toward the red sea, and commanding Israelite to move forward into the seabed. And Israelite was to stop complaining and to follow Moses' commandment and to walking into the departed red sea. Then the miraculous salvation was accomplished.

I liked your approach angle. You used miralce as a lens to analyze the reaction of both the Pharaoh and the Israelite. I would agree with you that miracle was not enough to convince or convert people. Even Jesus' miracle could not convert His opponents, as recorded in John 12:37.

今天的經文還真的有點開了眼界，回想自己在計畫要裝潢新房時，我好像也沒和設計師談的那麼仔細，只有我老婆十分 care 每個細節，即使人在美國進修還是要我傳照片報告進度給她。嗯，看來 神和我老婆比較像，有可能是處女座的。
打開蔡牧師的『與神相會』，在第一章便開宗明義寫著：『看哪，神的帳幕在人間。他要與人同住，他們要作他的子民。神要親自與他們同在，作他們的神。』
會幕是 神要與人相會的地方，會幕的帳幕與罩棚，應該就是人對會幕的第一個印象吧。在這裡要用十幅幔子作帳幕，再用山羊毛所織十一幅幔子作為帳幕以上的罩棚，不是很懂但是覺得很有意思，谷哥認為裡面的帳幕長度只有二十八肘，掛上去是沾不到地，可是罩棚的長度是三十肘，比板子長了一肘，長出來的那一肘就垂到地上了。所以這裡便預表 神的羔羊耶穌基督的降世，祂從天降臨，祂願意用腳踏上污穢的塵土，但是裡面仍是屬天的潔淨，沒有罪，也沒有被地上的泥土污染。
親愛的主，請您憐憫我，讓我能更親近您，渴慕居住在您的殿中，請您賜給我智慧，讓我知道如何在世上過您喜悅的生活，請您用聖靈來潔淨我的心，讓我不受試探誘惑，常常感受與您的同在。

Since this question is challenging to me, I referred to Rev. Tsai's latest book for inspirations.
Tabernacle was built up for the presence of God. God asked Moses to make this and all its furnishings were exactly like the pattern He showed Moses (Ex 25: 8-9). Then He would dwell among the Israelites and be their God (Ex 29:45).
The spiritual meanings of the set sizes and details are shown as the follows:
(A) God's glory and beauty
"Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim worked into them by a skilled craftsman. (Ex 26:1)"
When the tabernacle was finished, "…the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. (Ex 40:34)"
(B) God's perfect shelter
"Make for the tent a covering of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of hides of sea cows. (Ex 26:14-15)"
Am I able to house the Holy Spirit in me? Is this house grand and noble? Honoring God in my daily life can ensure encounters with Him to be peaceful and pleasant.

我的感想是真的先知就好像我們心靈深處的良知，他會阻止我們做出 神不喜悅的事，也會透過一些我們不想接受的事情來教導我們。假的先知則像是我們所必須面對的世界，充滿著誘惑、虛假、貪婪、驕傲、邪淫、勢利...，迎合他有時會覺得快樂，但是所表現的作為卻不是 神樂意見到的。假先知們往往會嘲笑真先知，因為大部分的人還是喜歡親近假先知，不想去面對真先知所提出的問題。不過跟隨真先知卻能避免災難，因為假先知的下場都是以滅亡收場。
親愛的主，請您憐憫我，幫助我保守我的心，不要只接受自己想聽到的事情，更要能反省自己不想聽到的問題，當撒旦的試探不斷打擊我時，讓我能清楚的明白您的道路，也使我的心充滿平安和喜樂。
