Jonah thought he could be out of the control of the Lord if he ran far away from Him. Yet he was totally wrong. His life was in the hand of the Lord, as was shown in the situation where he brought about the calamity on the troubled on the sea or where he was swallowed by a fish.
He had a misconception that he could choose whether to follow God or not. In fact, God has absolute power and sovereignty. We cannot disobey His order. When we are granted to serve, that is the priviledge and grace from Him. Jonah must have learned a good lesson.

"Stay Hungry , Stay Foolish" is the farewell wish in the 2005 commencement speech of Standford Unvi. by Apple CEO Steve Job. He also thought "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards." Actually, many peple thought he was foolish to do some crazy things at the begining. However, those foolish things always became the most wonderful thing after years. We cannot identify someone or something is foolish just based on our limited knowledge. May Lord also keep me to stay hugry and stay foolish for your words and your truth.

我不是很了解「愚昧人」的定義，但相信與智商沒有直接關係。由經文讀起來，是指言不及義(4)、辦事不牢靠(6)的人。
箴言教導我們，不要在言語上隨之起舞，不要雇用這樣的人。
原以為愚昧人已經夠糟了，沒想到還有一等人更慘。「你見自以為有智慧的人嗎？愚昧人比他更有指望。」(26:12)
求主幫助我，不要成為「愚昧人」、「自以為有智慧的人」、「懶惰人」。

We are told not to take what a fool says too seriously; otherwise, we may be identified as a fool or we may arouse that fool's pride to outwin us in words.
The verses of Proverbs 26:4-5 seem contradiction but they tell us that different principals can apply in different situations and we need the wisdom of God to know when to apply which principal.

I think rebuilding the temple of heaven father is just like to fall in love with God again. However, we lived in the world with lot of different loves. Most of people love the world more than God. That is why some people will not agree those people to love God. Actually, even some one may say he want to fall in love with God but he still love the World. The enemies of Judah and Benjamin were not pleased that the exiles were building a temple for the Lord, so when they heard the news, they pretended to give their helping hand.
Zerubbabel learned their impure motive so he was opposed their involvement in it. "In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived"(2Ti 3:12).
When we are carrying out God's plan, follow Him but still be vigilant about facing every stiff challenge.

Love is sacrifice. It is to give up the most important thing then to achieve others. It is easy to accept other people's sacrifice for us but not esay to sacrifice for others. Christ Jesus saves our life from sin by his sacrifice. However, have I ever thought about any sacrifice for Him? May Lord give me the power to do more for You.

Love is sacrifice. It is to give up the most important thing then to achieve others. It is easy to accept other people's sacrifice for us but not esay to sacrifice for others. Christ Jesus saves our life from sin by his sacrifice. However, have I ever thought about any sacrifice for Him? May Lord give me the power to do more for You.

There might be an analogy between the animal being sacrificed outside the camp, and Jesus being crucified outside the city. While Jesus was rejected by the world, those who believed in Jesus were rejected by society.
If Jesus went outside the city to be sacrificed, we should be willing to go "outside" to worship Him. We need to be willing to go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore (Heb 13:13) and share His disgrace. That's because we look for approval from God, not from the world.

How to teach our children about God's love? Actually, it is not easy because sometimes we also will forget God's love but fall in love with our World. So, we will teach our children what is the love of our world not the love of our heaven father. The most difficult thing of faith is to keep the God's love in the mind for all the lifetime in this World. It is also the only one way to teach our children the true love from God not from World. Without the dross from the silver, material for the silversmith will comes out; without the wicked from a king's presence, his throne will be established through righteousness.
The verse tells us that we should be free of evil influence, such as covetousness, the love of material things (Pr 28: 15-16), bribery, the tool of many lobbyists (Pr 29:4), women and alcohol, bane of many politicians and businessmen (Pr 31:1-5).
Evil influence spreads easily. That's why we should be careful.

Israelites were told by Moses to teach their children to fear, love and obey the Lord (De 10:12; 11:1, 8, 13, 22). Men are easily enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the Lord will burn against them.
Fear His awe, love Him faithfully, and obey all the decrees and laws set by Him.
Which should we choose, a blessing or a curse? The choice is simple but the road to holiness is tough.

神要我們"行"出來，並且要盡"教導"之責，也就是「身教+言教」。求主幫助我，成為我的孩子敬畏神、遵行神旨意的好榜樣。

God is Love, but why God still punished people. I think the main problem is people's pride and arrogance. If people is too proud, then he cannot surrender to God and always do someting for himself. It will become a disater if God cannot contain it. If people is too arrogant, then he cannot repect the other people to fell people's love. The world will have more and more wars if God cannot cotain it. May Lord help me to be more humble to You and others.
