For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the LORD slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both the first-born of man and the first-born of cattle. Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all the first males who come to birth; but all the first-born of my sons I redeem.

And Moses said to the people, "Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage, for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place." This rescue is not only physical redeeming but also soul redeeming.

It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he slew the Egyptians but spared our houses.

This grace also covers every foreigner who would believe the LORD.
Thanks the LORD kindness.

With the death of Egyptian firstborn, the Lord dramatically demonstrated that those not covered by the blood of the lamb will have no life or inheritance in the Heavenly Father's Kingdom. The other lesson we learn is that we are covered by that blood only if we follow His instructions explicitly. If anyone in Israel had not done exactly as He commanded, he would have faced the same consequences as the Egyptians. That means if we aren't totally covered by the blood of Messiah, we face everlasting death.

The Passover story reveals to us God's way of deliverance from bondage and oppression. God sought to set His people free from captivity so they could "worship Him" (Exodus 4:23).

Sometimes we may encounter difficult situations. Don't despair. There is a season to enjoy the prosperity of a certain time and place. God never expects us to remain in bondage. He always provides a way of escape.

Even though Moses and Aaron did many wonders before Pharaoh, Pharaoh's heart still hardened. The Lord allows us to act at our will but if we go astray and ignore His warning, He will treat us in a harsh way. On the other hand, Moses and Aaron turned to the Lord for a solution to solve the tough situation. The Lord is pleased to intervene as long as we need a helping hand.

Moses and Aaron did all these miracles in front of Pharaoh; and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the Israelites go out of his land.

Pharaoh admitted his evil through many disasters and let people of Israel go out of his land finally; Moses always obeyed the LORD to finish what His orders are, even though his confidence was not enough in the beginning. But, he did them finally through the LORD's help.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and He will show you the right way.

Pharaoh's servants pleaded him to let the Israelites go serve "their" Lord. "Their Lord" shows that they did not recognize the Lord as their God. When Pharaoh heard his servants say that his country was being ruined, his heart slightly softened. Yet he was not a reliable leader in regard of what he said. What he had promised would not necessarily be carried out. Thus, he was to blame for the darkness over the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh's servants said to him, "how long is this man to be the cause of evil to us? let the men go so that they may give worship to the Lord their God; do you not yet understand that Egypt is ruined?"

Then Pharaoh allowed Israelites to give worship to the Lord; only let their flocks and your herds be kept Egypt.

Sometimes we always bargain with the LORD about His grace. Actually, the LORD totally understands what we need, so we should completely follow His order.

In order to stop the hails from falling again, Pharaoh lied to Moses that he would let the Israelites go if Moses entreated the Lord for him. Moses did, but Pharaoh and his servants still hardened their hearts. The Lord is willing to give people opportunities to repent, yet when one rebels and sins again and again, s/he has to suffer the
consequences.

The Pharaoh said to Moses and Aaron, "I have sinned this time; the LORD is in the right, and I and my people are in the wrong." When he saw what the hail, thunder and rain was all stopped, he and his officials remained as stubborn as ever.
Although the Pharaoh was still hardened, he began to think that he might be wrong.
The LORD always uses any method to let me know what our mistake is, and give us the chance to admit it.
