The relationship between friends is a close interface with lots of touches, just like iron sharpened iron. We cannot be good friend only from one side; but we can be good friend by continuous interactions. Last month, I heard a speech from church. It is about our friendship with Jesus. The pastor wants us to sing the famous Christian song: What a friend we have in Jesus… and to think about our friendship with Jesus. Do we only want Jesus to be our friend but we did not want to be his friend? Actually, the question is do we only want Jesus to bear our problems but we did not want to share his problems? May Lord help me to be your friend not only from you.

Kings of Judah and Israel worshipped idols rather than the Lord (Mic 1:7). Besides, they were doing what was righteous in the eye of the Lord, such as planning iniquity, coveting others' property (2:1-2, 8-9).
God rules everything. Thus, those who do not know justice and who hate good and love evil will definitely be judged and punished one day (3:9-12).

On the other hand, one hasty man provokes another to anger. So the verse (Pr 27:17) can be interpreted in a positive or a negative way.

The king of Artaxerxes was opposed to the rebuilding of the temple since he was afraid that there might be rebellions rising up in Jerusalem. Later, the prophets Haggai and Zechariah were involved in fostering the rebuilding work. However difficult the task was, the eyes of God over the elders of the Jews were not stopped.
When king Darius' ruling came, he issued an order not to stop the rebuilding of the temple based on the archives stored in the treasury at Babylon. How God will work is sometimes beyond our knowledge, but what can be sure is that He is always sheltering and leading His people in a caring manner.

"God cannot be tempted with evil. " Sometime, we want to do something with evil and we will think this is a temptation from God. Actually, this is tempted by ourselous. We cannot shirk our responsibilty to God. God gives people the 100% free will and wants people to learn accoutability. However, the world always existed lot of temptations to impact our free will. May Lord help to be responsible for my life to follow your road.

當面臨生活中的難處時，我們會稱之為「試探」或「試煉」。不可否認的，大多數的困難，源自於我們自由意志下的選擇（不一定全是壞的）。
感謝神，無論難處的起因為何，只要我們轉向神，就能得到過關的能力。求主幫助我，不要因著難處而背離神。

It's not easy to take every trial easy though sensibly I learn that blessed is the man who perseveres under trial. I'm mentally weak, so I confess that I am easily dragged away and enticed by my own evil desire, which gives birth to sin and the full-grown sin gives birth to death.
Besides, I'm one of those who merely listen to the words of the Lord but don't do what He says. May God strengthen my faith whenever I am tempted or under trial, withhold my anger and go for a righteous life. I hope the crown of life will be what I am worth receiving one day.

上個週末到了雲林的鄉下，某個村莊裡面，村莊中有許多人信仰天主教，庄內也有一個天主教堂。
最有趣的是，信徒的家門上貼有門神，門神像是天使的樣子；家裡正廳裡有神桌，上面擺著耶穌像，還有紅紅的像蠟燭一樣的燈。和民間的道教信仰擺設形式幾乎一模一樣。
我就在想，早期天主教為了要能夠順應本地風俗民情，有所妥協，接納了一些儀式與形式，在宣教上這是與本地文化的交流與會通、是一種localize的變革，然而這樣的改變牴觸到了上帝對於禁止偶像崇拜的教導。
在宣教上，這之間的尺度與拿捏，需要有智慧去學習。
By the way，乙珊也說，教會應該來辦個祈福法會，這樣一定可以讓很多台灣民眾接受。...

"Garbage in, garbage out." What will you do is from what you have learnt. To eat blood is easy to become an animal without any love. God is love, how to keep love from your daily life is important. 「我們今日在這裡所行的是各人行自己眼中看為正的事，你們將來不可這樣行；因為你們還沒有到耶和華─你 神所賜你的安息地，所給你的產業。」(12:8)
讀起來，有點像正在"客旅"中的和平教會。
「不可吃血」，到現在...我吃豬血糕，還是有罪惡感~~~。以前，我受洗的教會是主張不能吃血（任何形式）的，後來去一位大專青年中心的牧師家聚餐，酸辣湯裡有豬血。
目前還是有人遵照舊約的教導守安息日、不吃豬肉等等。還好使徒保羅已經為我們預備了解答，「吃的人不可輕看不吃的人；不吃的人不可論斷吃的人；因為神已經收納他了。」(羅14:3)

「不可吃血」，到現在...我吃豬血糕，還是有罪惡感~~~。以前，我受洗的教會是主張不能吃血（任何形式）的，後來去一位大專青年中心的牧師家聚餐，酸辣湯裡有豬血。
目前還是有人遵照舊約的教導守安息日、不吃豬肉等等。還好使徒保羅已經為我們預備了解答，「吃的人不可輕看不吃的人；不吃的人不可論斷吃的人；因為神已經收納他了。」(羅14:3)
