主耶穌看到門徒根本不能領會祂即將面對十字架的苦難，心裡獨自憂傷，幾乎要死；也看見門徒都因軟弱，不能同祂儆醒禱告，只好獨自禱告。馬可福音 14:36 主說：「阿爸！父啊！在你凡事都能；求你將這杯撤去。然而，不要從我的意思，只要從你的意思。」，可見主耶穌體貼父神心意， 只求遵行上帝的旨意。主耶穌接連三次禱告，為的是要清楚明白上帝的旨意。當祂清楚明白上帝的旨意後，坦然面對即將被賣在罪人手裡的事。


對我的提醒：面對困難環境，親朋好友離去時，心裡憂傷難過時，不要忘記，要等候，儆醒禱告，尋求上帝的旨意，學習順服，仰望，交托的功課。等到長時間的禱告，上帝會讓我們清楚知道祂的旨意，屆時不要再猶疑，坦然面對，絕不後悔，因為祂必與我們同在。

In the face of death, Jesus turned to pray. Yet He frankly conveyed, "My soul is very sorrowful, even to death…"(Mr 14:34). Peace gave Him strength because He followed His Dad's will: "Father, all things are possible to thee; remove this cup from me; yet not what I will, but what thou wilt" (14:36).

Even when He was about to die, He still remembered to tell His disciples, "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (14:38). Grief did not overwhelm Jesus but He overcame it.

God never pours out His wrath without warning because "He does not wish that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Pe 3:9).This chapter illustrates signs of nature (Mr 13:8), negative spiritual signs (Mr 13:9; 11-13), positive spiritual signs (Mr. 13:10), and world political signs (Mr 13: 7-8; 28-30).

The world is gradually faced with famine, earthquakes, plagues, civil wars and ethnic wars. We should be aware that this might be the warnings from the Lord. Persecution of true believers also happens once in a while but good news is that worldwide evangelism is upcoming.

Jesus said that when we see all these signs come together, He will be "right at the door," ready to return (Mt 24:33). "Am I ready for it?" is the question that we should ask ourselves.

四個預言:
1)　聖殿被毀（馬可13:1，2），　耶穌預言這個聖殿將被拆毀，甚至沒有一塊石頭留在石頭上。這個預言應驗於西元七十年耶路撒冷被毀。
2) 災難的起頭（馬可13:3∼8）＆ 門徒受逼迫（馬可13:9∼13）; 打仗、地震、飢荒都是災難的預兆。 這段經文在西元69年曾經有「最初的應驗」，當時羅馬皇帝改朝換代好幾次，加利利一些堅固的城池也陷落。這對當時的教會應該是相當明確的警告才對。耶穌預言門徒將要受到政治與宗教界的迫害，且福音要傳出。 為了福音的關係，自己的親屬將傷害自己的親屬，且基督徒將被眾人恨惡，而忍耐到底的必然得救。
３)　 大災難（馬可1314∼23）；看到惡人站在不當站的地方時，要不眷戀的躲避。 在災難的時候，懷孕和奶孩子將有災禍，要禱告使這災難不在冬天來臨。因為災難很大，甚至如果不是因為上帝減少災難的日子，人類將全體滅亡。不過上帝為了「選民」把災難的日子減少了。當時許多人將謠傳基督出現，也有假先知、假基督可以行神蹟，甚至因為神蹟的緣故，選民都被迷惑了。耶穌既然預先說了，基督徒更應當小心謹慎。
４）人子降臨 （馬可13:24∼27）；災難之後自然界將有大改變，然後人們要看到耶穌有能力、有榮耀的駕雲降臨。 耶穌要差遣天使把基督徒由四方招聚而來。


從無花果樹學習看徵兆 （馬可13:28-31）：門徒既然有能力看無花果樹的枝葉狀況，知道夏天近了，也應該可以看徵兆分辨耶穌再來的日子近了。 沒有人知道耶穌降臨的時間。既然不知道確定的日子，門徒應該儆醒祈禱。 馬可福音 13:31 節告訴我們：「天地要廢去，我的話卻不能廢去」。感謝神！主的話比天地更為堅定、永不改變。求主幫助我們，不要去猜測主再來的確實日期與時間。其實，也正是因為我們不知道那日子，那時辰，我們才會隨時隨地謹慎，儆醒，祈禱。不然的話，我們將會陷入一種自我安逸的假安全感之中。結果忽略了隨時作準備來迎接耶穌的再來。耶穌在此所用的比喻，最終也是為了加強門徒隨時要謹慎，儆醒，祈禱的心志與態度。

祭司長和文士並長老進前來，問他說：「你仗著什麼權柄做這些事？給你這權柄的是誰呢？」（馬可 11:27∼28節）。他們希望把耶穌置於進退兩難之間。若耶穌說這是出於自己的權柄時，則他們無須查問耶穌作過甚麼事情，立刻以『自大狂』之罪捉拿他便可以了。若耶穌說他的權柄出自上帝，他們便以褻瀆的罪名加諸祂的身上，因為上帝從來不會授權任何人在上帝的家�，製造是非的。耶穌知道祂的回答會造成難處，於是耶穌以其人之道，還治其人之身。祂反向他們提出一個更難回答的問題：『施洗約翰的工作，以你們的意見來看，是出以人抑或出於上帝？』耶穌提出他的條件，若他們回答了這個問題後，他便會解答他們提出的質問了。


若祭司長和文士並長老說耶穌的權柄來自上帝的話，那麼他們為甚麼還站在敵對的立場呢？還有更壞的一點，就是倘若他們承認了約翰的工作來自上帝的話，耶穌則可以回答說施洗約翰是為祂舖設道路，而耶穌的權柄則無須證明了。故此若果這些祭司長和文士並長老同意約翰的神聖使命時，必須同時接受耶穌的權柄，但另一方面，若他們說約翰只是一個平常人，但當時人們已深信約翰是一個傑出的殉道者，他們自然可以想像得到，群眾可能立刻引起動亂。所以在此進退維谷的場合中，他們只能以微弱的聲音回答說，他們並不知道，而耶穌也藉此避而不答他們的問題了。

對我的提醒：就是當人不敢面對真理時，怕得罪人，往往他們想歪曲事物的真象，而最後必作繭自困。人若果能面對真理和事實，是就說是，不是就說不是，承認了自己的錯處，雖然可能會受到一時的恥辱或危險，但終究事實勝於雄辨，真理是不會改變的。

Some of the Pharisees and the Hero'di-ans wanted to entrap Jesus by asking a question they thought witty, but Jesus outwitted them by saying that the coins with the inscriptions of Caesar should go to Caesar. This implies that whatever or whoever belong to the Lord should be rendered to Him.

Hypocrisy cannot reveal truth. To pay taxes is our right and obligation, so we should not file complaints. After all, God will always prepare what we need and we will never be short of material support in life.

People often wish to examine the evidences of revelation and the truth of the gospel, but in fact they only seek excuses for their own disbelief and disobedience. Christ answered these priests and scribes with a plain question about the baptism of John. They all knew it was from heaven, but it seems that those people were justly denied further knowledge. Christ refused to give account of His authority to them since these elders did not deserve to be taught. It was plain that they contended not for truth, nor did Christ need to tell them.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me. Don't keep them away. God's kingdom belongs to people like them" (Mark 10:14). Children are more childlike and naive than adults. The Lord hopes that His children could trust Him fully and see Him as their Father. That is, the simplicity of one's mind helps reinforce belief in Him.

「倚靠」對大人來說是複雜的﹐但是對小孩來說卻是簡單的﹐因為大人可以倚靠的太多所以便不想倚靠神﹐然而小孩能倚靠的只有父母﹐所以會緊緊的跟在父母身邊。
天父希望祂的子女在信仰的道路上能回到天國﹐就如同小孩般緊跟在父母身旁﹐然後平安的回家。

約翰福音 3:3 ~5 節， 清楚告訴我們：「人若不重生，就不能見神的國；人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進神的國」。因此，我們只要相信主就能「重生」，就必得救。信徒得救也就是承受了永生，因此也就具備了『進神的國』的基本條件。但另一方面，主又要求那位財主『變賣所有，分給窮人，還要跟從祂』作為進天國的條件。 可見『進天國』的意義，含有信徒必須在今世活出天國的實際，作個名副其實的天國子民，當主再來時，才能得著天國國度的榮耀說的。就這一方面的意義而言，有錢財的人進天國確是難的。

馬可10:21∼22節也清楚告訴我們：必須變賣所有的，分給窮人，要『愛人如己』；自然就必有財寶積在天上。還要行走生命的道路，除去一切攔阻的東西，『愛主我們的上帝』，並一直往前來跟從主。凡自己有所保留，而不肯跟從主的人，都是憂憂愁愁痛苦一生的人。

求主幫助我們，清楚認識『人不能靠錢財進入天國』；對物質的看重與眷戀，也會成為他們進入天國的攔阻。除了要相信主耶穌得永生，要肯奉獻財物歸主聖工使用外，要『愛人如己』；每天毫無保留地跟從主，『愛主我們的上帝』的人，這樣才可進去天國。
