亞伯拉罕通過上帝的試驗之後，也確認了他與天父阿爸的關係，但是即便是如此，上帝所應許他的土地仍未實現，然而陪他走過大半人生的妻子撒拉卻過世了，這對亞伯拉罕來說又是一件十分痛苦的事情，上帝帶走了撒拉回到天家，卻留下了亞伯拉罕在世上為撒拉處理後事。
亞伯拉罕為了撒拉的死而哀慟哭號，之後他明白他必須在上帝應許之地來埋葬她，所以開始與居住那裡的赫人交涉，亞伯拉罕雖然寄居在赫人當中，但是卻和赫人關係很好，並沒有讓赫人厭惡他，於是赫人同意在他們的墓地裡埋葬撒拉，可是這卻會讓撒拉與赫人一起混葬。亞伯拉罕便謙卑的向赫人下拜並請求赫人賣地給他，因為他要得到這一小塊的迦南地作為上帝應許的記號，也讓他的後裔明白上帝所要賜給他們的產業。赫人是屬世的，他們所看到的是眼前的財富，於是開了高價賣了一塊田地給了亞伯拉罕，但是亞伯拉罕所看到的是上帝所應許的，於是照著赫人的價格買了這塊地，並葬了他的妻子。

開心時會想找祂說，難過時會想躲在祂懷裡，困惑時會想與祂談談，醒著時想著祂，睡著時也想著祂。
看書想著祂、吃東西想著祂、走路想著祂、工作想著祂……這樣不真的很像在想男朋友、女朋友嗎？

雖然看得不是很懂，但覺得第一次收割好像是針對信主的人所作的收割。
而第二次收割指得卻像是將屬撒但的割下，丟入死亡之中。

That they weighed out as my wages thirty shekels of silver (Zec 11:12) means that Jesus is sold at such a lower price. Thirty shekels of silver is the amount of money for the owner of a slave who is killed by a bull (Ex 21:32) and it is also the amount of money Judas gets when he betrays Jesus (Mt 27: 3-10). Priceless Messiah is sold. How sarcastic and insulting!

Thirty shekels of silver is the amount of money for the owner of a slave who is killed by a bull (Ex 21:32) and it is also the amount of money Judas gets when he betrays Jesus (Mt 27: 3-10). Birthright might have been very important at that age. Esau should have been informed of his duty or responsibility as the first child by Abraham and Rebekah, but probably he wasn't so he took the birthright lightly.
As for Jacob's behavior, I was stunned by his "creative idea." Why did he consider that birthright could be sold? He didn't cherish brotherhood and would definitely suffer the consequences due to his sly act.

The interactions described in Song of Songs are so vivid that readers can easily associate the scenarios with their relationship with the Lord. For example, "with great delight I sat in his shadow, and his fruit was sweet to my taste" (So 2:3). The fair lady must have felt strong sense of security when she was with her beloved one. "O that his left hand were under my head, and that his right hand embraced me"(2:6)! I guess Solomon once experienced true love. Otherwise, how could he write in such expressive words?
