Eschatology was the more ambiguous part of the systemic theology. There were two possible end times for each one of us. The first was thanatology, which dealt with each one separately when we would need to say good bye to this world. While eschatology was the end time of the universe, every one then alive must say good bye to the old world.
But for Christian faith, end time seemed not to be an end time at all. End time seemed to be a time of transition into another kind of exsistence, a transformation of life.
After God created human beings in His image, human beings seemed to enjoy a endless life, or an eternal life, whether saved or not.
