Like Ezekiel, Hosea was asked by the Lord to be with an adulterous wife and children of unfaithfulness (Ho 1:2-3). The cost of succumbing to the Lord is so high that we ordinary people sometimes cannot bear. Yet, Ezekiel could little himself and loyally follow the Lord.

And what I learn from this is that the Lord would take away our stronghold, our joy and glory, the delight of our eyes, our heart's desire, and our sons and daughters to let us realize--He governs everything.
