The number seven symbolizes God's perfection, His sovereignty and holiness. God created the earth in 6 days and on the seventh day He rested. He blessed the seventh day, making it holy (Ex 20:8-11).

One example in Bible is that before Aaron and his sons entered their priestly work they were consecrated seven days (Lev 8:31-36). The whole Word of God is founded upon the number seven, which denotes completion or perfection.
